Beth Ann's Plan for a Safer Ward 7
Ward 7 should be a community where families feel safe on their streets, in their neighbourhoods and while enjoying our parks and trails.
My plan focuses on practical steps we can take to make that happen.

Speeding is one of the concerns I hear most often from residents. We need to use traffic data, enforcement and proven road-safety tools to target problem areas and make our streets safer.
I will work to:
Target speeding, red-light violations and school-zone infractions using enforcement, traffic data and proven road-safety technology.
Use data from speed-display signs and other technology to identify problem streets and intersections.
Use that evidence to support traffic-calming measures, intersection improvements, speed-limit reviews and stop signs where warranted.
Focus resources and enforcement on the locations where the evidence shows they are needed most.
My commitment:
Make neighbourhood traffic safety a priority and push for action where speeding and unsafe driving are putting residents at risk.

Our parks and trails should be places where families, seniors, children and residents feel comfortable and safe.
I will work to:
Improve lighting in parks, parking areas and along trails where needed.
Explore expanding Project Green Light, cameras and Blue Button emergency call stations to appropriate locations.
Work with Windsor Police to explore opportunities for greater police and auxiliary visibility in Ward 7 parks and along our trails.
Strengthen enforcement of unsafe speeds and the improper use of e-bikes, scooters and other devices on shared trails.
My commitment:
Push for the lighting, safety measures and enforcement needed to help residents feel safer using our parks and trails.

Feeling safe in your neighbourhood matters. Residents should see a stronger connection between Windsor Police and the community they serve.
I will work to:
Work with Windsor Police to explore opportunities for a stronger community policing presence in Ward 7.
Examine the feasibility of establishing a community policing office or satellite location using existing City of Windsor infrastructure.
Explore opportunities with Windsor Police for greater police and auxiliary visibility throughout Ward 7.
Bring Windsor Police, City administration and residents together to identify areas of concern and determine where resources can have the greatest impact.
My commitment:
Work for a stronger community policing presence and a closer connection between Windsor Police and Ward 7 residents.
How I'll Get It Done
Having a good idea isn't enough. You need to know how to turn it into action with the right experience.
I've spent my career bringing governments, organizations and community partners together, building the case for action and getting people working toward a common solution.
As councillor, I'll take the same approach: listen to residents, bring the right people to the table, use evidence to build the case, identify realistic and financially responsible solutions, and push for action.
That's how I'll work to get things done for Ward 7.
