I’m proud to call Windsor home.
My decision to run for Ward 7 Councillor comes from a genuine commitment to the community that has been part of my family’s story for generations.
The Prince family has a long history in Riverside. My grandfather co-founded Riverside Roofing in 1948. Generations of the Prince family grew up in Riverside, built their lives here and contributed to the area. Those roots continue today, with members of the Prince family still operating businesses in the Riverside area.
For me, Riverside represents family, hard work, local business and community pride, values that continue to shape who I am today.
My professional career has given me a broad understanding of our community from several different perspectives.
I spent 18 years working at The Windsor Star, an experience that gave me a front-row view of the people, businesses, organizations and issues that shape Windsor and Essex County. It strengthened my understanding of our community and the importance of clear communication, strong relationships and staying connected to the people you serve.
My career later brought me to WFCU Credit Union, where my work focused on community investment, member engagement and building partnerships throughout Windsor-Essex. Through my professional and volunteer board roles with several organizations including the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation, and the University of Windsor Alumni Board and the Board Of Governors, I have developed extensive experience in leadership, governance, financial accountability, community investment and stakeholder relations.
These experiences have taught me the importance of listening, bringing people together and, most importantly, turning good ideas into action.
I am incredibly proud of my daughter, Paige, a graduate of the University of Windsor, who is continuing her education through post-degree studies in Osteopathy. Watching her pursue her education and build her future reinforces for me why creating a safe, affordable and vibrant Windsor for the next generation matters so much.
My partner, Bruce Krauter, has spent his career serving our community, including many years in leadership with Essex-Windsor EMS. We share a strong commitment to Windsor-Essex and a belief in giving back to the community that has given our families so much.
